Season 11 Episode 4

Outdoor Show 11th October

Tip Of The Week.

Cold mornings seem to be here to stay but the afternoons still warm up nicely. Your tip is to dress in layers when you go into the field or onto your deer stand. If just sitting it is more important to dress warmly but if you are doing a bunch of walking your body will warm up quickly. Don’t put on your hunting boots until you get to your hunting spot. Warm feet will sweat and cool quickly when just sitting still.

In a large dutch oven, melt the butter on medium heat and add onions and garlic, stirring until translucent. After about 5 minutes, add the lima beans, corn, diced tomatoes, and chicken stock and bring to a boil. Once the vegetables have cooked through, add the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, spices, and cooked meat. Mix together and cover. Let cook on low-medium for at least 1 hour.
