Vernon Galiher, 80 of Zanesville , passed away February 2, 2010 at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
Vernon was born in Cumberland , OH on March 14, 1929 to the late Orville and Iva Sickle Galigher. Vernon was retired from Greif Brothers. Vernon served his country and protected our freedom as a medic in The United States Army during the Korean War.
Vernon is survived by daughters Randi (Richard) Tyo of Zanesville and Donna Moore of Zanesville; brother Russell Galigher of Zanesville; sisters Betty (Jerry) Harper of Zanesville and Lorena Hannah of Newark; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Dick (Ann) Wells of Ventura, CA; sisters-in-law Jean Galigher, Becky Galiher, Goldie Galiher of Newark, Minnie Galigher and Winnie Galiher of Zanesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gloria Wells Galiher; daughter Janet Lee Galiher; brothers Clarence, Roy, Bill, Paul, Cecil, and John Galiher; sisters Ruth and Rella Barnett, Thelma Dusenberry, Grace Bugglin, and Dorothy Parker, and brother-in-law Max Wells.
No calling hours will be observed. A cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 12 pm in The Rosehill Cemetery, Roseville , OH.
