Sondra Kay Stephenson

Sondra Kay Stephenson (Ullman), 73 of Zanesville, peacefully graduated to Glory Tuesday, July
26, 2022. Sonie was joyfully welcomed into this world on August 31, 1948 to Donald Sr. and
Martha Ullman. Her birthdays were extra special because she shared the celebration with her
mother who was also born on August 31.
Sonie was a graduate of Maysville High School. She worked with much joy at Grandma’s
Country Store with her best friend Becky (Gary) Fisher. Sonie retired from Muskingum County
Child Support Agency. She was an active member at Meadow Farm Church.
One of the greatest moments in her life was when she married her childhood sweetheart,
Robert (Bob) Stephenson. Bob and Sonie were the epitome of true love. Their love for each
other emanated to everyone around them, but especially to their children and grandchildren.
They spent 53 glorious years together. This is a reminder to all that true love does exist.
Sonie loved spending time in her lovely flower gardens and watching her birds. Her home was
her favorite place to be and she spent many hours on her porches taking in her million dollar
view and all of God’s creations. Another favorite pastime was playing cards with Becky and
Gary and going to Amish country for short trips. Sonie always looked forward to the grandkids
coming to visit and spending time with her mother.
Surviving this glorious woman of God is her unwavering mother Marty Ullman, her adoring
children, Robb (Ronda) Stephenson, Shane (Hope) Stephenson, and Ashlie (Matthew) Wilhite,
grandchildren Tearria, Chelsea, Taylor, Cody, Maxwell, Josh, Jared, Carlie, Bryce, Logan and
Adalyn; sisters LaDonna Ansel, Martha Flowers; sister-in-law Debby Ullman; several nieces and
nephews, special friends and the family dog Rascal.
Sonie is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Bob Stephenson, brother Donald
Ullman Jr., and her father Donald Ullman Sr.
Per Sonie’s wishes a cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time.
The family asks that you take a moment and hug a parent, grandparent, child, grandchild and/or
a friend. Time waits for no one. As Sonie would always say, “God Bless You
