Ronald Lee Vandenbark

Ronald Lee Vandenbark, 77, of Zanesville, passed away at 9:21 p.m. Sat. Feb. 26, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. He was born on Jan. 18, 1945 in Zanesville, a son of the late Byron and Esthermae Vandenbark. He was a truck driver, avid golfer, sports enthusiast, animal lover, loved his dog “Lady”. He is survived by his daughter Tanya Fansler, son Todd Brown. Granddaughter Dakota Fansler, grandson Joshua Brown.  Great-grandchildren Alexus, Kerisa, and Miles. One sister Christine Mesaros. Numerous nieces and nephews. Two step-children Don Guss and Rick Guss. Three step-grandchildren Terry Guss, Austin Guss, and Ashleigh Guss. Several step-greatgrandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Jean Brown, his second wife Gloria Vandenbark. Two sisters Jackie Jones and Rema Brown. One brother Randy Vandenbark. Foster parents Carl and  Pauline Gibson. Foster brother Roger Gibson.  Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thur. March 3, 2022 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Fri. March 4, 2022 with Pastor Tim Carr officiating. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Zanesville VFW and American Legion will conduct military honors at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Julie Mesaros Scholarship Fund through the Muskingum County Community Foundation.
