Richard(Dick) was a steadfast, loyal, devoted, and prayerful man who was strong in his faith and love of Jesus Christ.  He was a man of integrity, earnestness and quiet strength.  But, that twinkle in his eyes…, and his ability to wordsmith witticisms revealed his mischievous, charming, and playful nature bestowed on family and friends.

Dick’s call to duty for the benefit of his family and his country led him to enlist in the Army for two tours. Once during the Korean war, and in the 1960’s during the Vietnam war.  In between, he had joined the Ohio Army National Guard for two years. Over the years he had been employed at  Walker Mfg, Diebold, and Ohio Ferro Alloy.

Family and friends are welcome to a service which will be held at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage, Ohio at 1:00pm, Friday, March 3, 2023. Immediately following, Richard will  be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Somerset.
