Phyllis I. Runyon, 85 of Zanesville, peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2023.
She was born on June 7, 1937, in Glouster, Ohio, daughter of the late William Bulstrom and Helen (Hooper) Bulstrom. Phyllis worked at Essex Wire and the Lumi Lite Candle Factory for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed her crossword puzzles, word searches, and her hallmark movies.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Della) Runyon Jr., Tom (Maria) Runyon; daughters, Diana (Robert) Carpenter, Ruth (Christopher) Fliger, Jane Mills; brothers, Larry Bulstrom, John Bulstrom; sisters, Rosemary Estep, Katherine Whiteagle; 13 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild on the way; special roommate, Diane; special dog, Skipper.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert W. Runyon Sr.; brother, Howard “Eddie” Bulstrom; aunt, Marie Dyer; and special dog, Teddy.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 1, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at 12:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home with Pastor Nehemiah Gaiters officiating. Burial will follow services at New Hope Cemetery in Adamsville, Ohio.
