Patsy Desarro (December 7, 1920 – November 10, 2010)


Patsy Desarro 89 of Roseville passed away on Wednesday November 10, 2010 at Autumn Health Care in Zanesville.
Patsy was born on December 7, 1920 in Nicastro, Italy to the late Rosario and Jenny Veno Desarro.
Patsy was a retired truck driver for Hennes Trucking and a member of Crooksville Eagles, American Legion, an avid golfer, and was an excellent baseball player in which he is a member of the Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame, Patsy was drafted by the New York Yankees, and at the same time was drafted by the US Army. Patsy chose to protect our freedom and proudly served in the US Army during WWII.
He is survived by his daughter Carol (Paul) Harper of East Fultonham, two brothers Ralph (Sally) Desarro of Iron Spot and Tony Desarro of Roseville, a sister Angie Miller of Iron Spot, two brother-in-laws Don (Mary) Smith of PA and Larry (Diane) Smith of Zanesville. Two grandchildren Brian (Sheri) Harper and Aaron (Lari) Harper , three great grandchildren A.J., Cassie, and Jordee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Smith Desarro, four brothers Phillip, Frank, Johnny, and Jimmy Desarro, two sisters Catherine Head and Rose Ann Smith, and two brothers-in-law Howard and Bill Smith.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Friday November 12 at THE ROSEVILLE CHAPEL OF THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 33 NORTH MAIN STREET ROSEVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday at The Church of The Atonement 320 Winter Street Crooksville with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating.
