Mary Lousie (Pearson) LeRoy

Mary Lousie (Pearson) LeRoy, age 78, peaceful went to be with the Lord on Easter Morning, April 4th, 2021, with the warmth of a daughter by her side. After a short bout with brain cancer, and weeks of being surrounded by family who poured in to say goodbye and offer support. Mary was ready to see the pearly gates, streets of gold, and the loved ones who went before her.

Mary was a lifelong resident of southeastern Ohio, and grew up alongside many loved siblings, aunts, and cousins. Despite humble beginnings, and the loss of her parents as a little girl, Mary quickly grew to be both strong and loving. She was spoiled by the love of her life and husband, Raymond. They truly were a “match made in heaven.” Together, they successfully raised three loving children and created a life of beautiful memories. Whether by car, motorcycle, RV, or boat, Mary stayed busy as a co-pilot on many traveling adventures to the ocean, NASCAR races with her husband and son, and frequent road trips to visit family members like her sister Marge, and niece Judy (Gadd) (Dehart). Mary was an active member of the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church choir, where she valued serving and participating in many of their ministries, particularly the annual Easter play, “Worthy Is the Lamb.”  She had a love for the ocean, jewelry, music, church and spoiling and supporting her loved ones. Whether accepting a dare to, at the age of 62, dive off the high dive, or preparing for a large holiday meal with her granddaughter, Trisha, Mary’s life routinely demonstrated a stubborn determination. Some of her hobbies included, making lifelong memories at Lake Isabel, mining for gems, playing cards and other games, knitting, crafting, embroidering, singing, shopping, and of course, traveling and spending time with loved ones.  Mary was generous, fun, beautiful, brave, competitive, and as mentioned stubbornly strong. In short, she faithfully loved, and was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Raymond George LeRoy, daughter Margery (David) Wallace; her parents Louis Amos Pearson, and Meryl Francis Head Pearson and siblings, Lewis (Mary) Pearson, Eugene (Mildred) Pearson, Francis Norman, Arthur “Red” Pearson, Richard Pearson, and Marjorie Gadd.

She is survived by children, Bernice Mozena, and Bernard  (Penny) LeRoy  and grandchildren, Candy (Dan) Mallett , Marshall Mozena, Trisha (Lori Spellman) Moody, Erin (Doug) Brooks,  Raymond Moody, Brian (Kelly) Mozena,  B J (Melissa) LeRoy, and Molly (Jerry Burchard) LeRoy; great grandchildren, Mazie Mallett, Abriana Mallett, Lewis Mozena, Carmen Brooks, Presly Moody, Charlize Brooks, Sophie Dillinger, Cason Mozena, and Kurt Mozena; one brother, John (Genevieve) Pearson, and one brother-in-Law, Charlie Gadd.
