Mary E. Montgomery Best Luman Gottke (September 24, 1925 – September 22, 2009)

Mary E. Montgomery Best Luman Gottke 83 of Zanesville passed away at 3:335 am on Tuesday September 22, 2009 at Bethesda Hospital.
Mary was born in Zanesville on September 24, 1925 to the late Alva N. and Lucy Ellen Osborne Montgomery. She retired from West Muskingum School Systems as a cook. She was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by two sons: Richard E. (Jane) Luman of Zanesville, Kevin J. (Susy) Luman of Zanesville, three daughters Kaye D. (Pat) Musselman of Zanesville, Saran D. McGee of Hebron, and Paula L. Johnson of Hebron. Two brothers Everett (Peggy) Montgomery of Marietta, GA and James (Shirley) Montgomery of Zanesville, a sister Alma L. (Melvin) Dilley of Zanesville. ten Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three husbands Harold Russell Best, Richard James Luman and Kenneth Ray Gottke, three brothers Charles Montgomery, Alva N. Montgomery Jr., and Loren Montgomery.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday September 24 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 115 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in The Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Tom England officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
