Mabel Mary Kirkbride, 97 formerly of Philo, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022 at her son’s home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mabel was born in Noble County on March 11, 1925. She is the daughter of the late Lewis and Opal Wickham. She retired in 1987 after working for 23 years for Essex Wire in Zanesville, she attended the Philo United Methodist Church and she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Mabel is survived by her two sons, Gary (Linda) Kirkbride and Dick (Cindy) Kirkbride; her seven grandchildren; her sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her brother, Roger (Roxie) Wickham; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Kirkbride who passed away November 14, 2000; her son, Clifford E. Kirkbride, who passed away in 1942; her daughter, Shirley Norris who passed away in 1987; her siblings, Richard Wickham, Charles Wickham, Donna Rollin, Virginia Sines, and Clara Combs.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am Monday. Pastor Jeff Belt will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
