M. Vivian Bond

Mary Vivian Bond, 86 of Zanesville went to be with her heavenly father on February 12, 2022 at Genesis Hospital.
Vivian was born on January 7, 1936 in Middlebourne, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Loren “Tom” and Wilma (Giesey) Casterline. She graduated from high school in Barnesville, Ohio. ‘Mrs. Bond’ worked for several years as a teacher; She worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the Cambridge and Coshocton areas. She retired from Children’s Hospital in Columbus where she worked in Information services. After retirement she worked for various Zanesville City Schools as a substitute teacher. She and her husband Raymond were the owners and operators of Bond Specialty Flower Shop in South Zanesville. She enjoyed playing games of chance, calling BINGO for many years and when she wasn’t calling she would be playing, but most especially she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Vivian is survived by her children, Janella (Jeffrey Spencer) Bond, Evelyn (Mark) Cleveland, and J. Curtis Bond; her granddaughter and her significant other, Charleen (Nathan Kirkbride) Bond-Wood, who took care of her at home; her other grandchildren, Kyryn (Andrea) Little, Charles (Melissa) Boyer and Natalee Boyer, Sam (Lindsey) Burton; Tasha Spencer, Jeffrey (Layne) Spencer, and Olivia, Alyssa, John, and Michael Bond; her brother, John (June) Casterline; her sister, Eva (Thomas) Warner; her sister-in-law, Shirley Casterline; her several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends including Betty, Darylene, and Lori and Gary Swope.
In addition to her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Raymond Bond, who passed away June 12, 2021; her brother, William Casterline.
Visitations will be held from 11 to 1 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm.
