Linda K. Pletcher

Linda K. Pletcher, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on November 3, 2022 at her home in Stovertown surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Genesis Hospice.

 

Linda was born on May 18, 1949 in Zanesville.  She is the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Cora L. (Miller) Cooper.  She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stovertown, where she helped mow the cemetery for over 35 years.  She was a member of the Muskingum County Country Music Hall of Fame.  She loved to sing harmony on country music square dances and hymns.  She enjoyed baking and was well known for her chocolate chip and sugar cookies, most especially she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

 

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert “Bob” Pletcher, whom she married September 7, 1968; her three sons, Joe (Joy) Pletcher, Keith (April) Pletcher, and Rodney (Rachel) Pletcher; her grandchildren, Raymond (Caitlynn) Pletcher, Elaina (Riley Lake) Pletcher, Jason (Makaylee Clapper) Pletcher, Jeremiah Pletcher, Blake (Kilie) Pletcher, and Kaytlynn Pletcher; her brother-in-law, William Pletcher; her sister-in-law, Margaret (Bill) Brown; her two special daughters, Melissa Atkinson and Jessica Harris; and many other special friends.

 

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her in-laws, Daryl and Florence Mautz; her brother-in-law, Keith Mautz; and her special neighbors, Paul and Betty Blackstone.

In keeping with her wishes a caring cremation will take place.  Visitation will be 3 to 7 pm on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls.  Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Stovertown St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6575 Center Road, St. Route 555, Philo, Ohio.  Pastor Al Laese will officiate the service.  She will be laid to rest in the Church Cemetery.
