Joseph Elmer Wright, 53 of Zanesville died 7:00 AM Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his residence following a long illness.

He was born Monday, December 30, 1957 in Salem OH the son of the late Wilbert McCelland Wright and Lila L.(Pasco) Myers of Florida.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He volunteered at the Frightmare Haunted House for 7 years, was a truck driver for 3 years and an Army Veteran. He also was a Carney for 15 years and was very family oriented.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 30 years whom he married January 25, 1981, Ellen (Keffer) Wright of the home, three daughters Angel (Troy) Estep, Lila (Curt) Fansler and Desiree (Jonathon) Meyers and a son Joseph Lapp; 6 grandchildren Sable Estep (12), Ember Estep (2), Ash Estep (5 months), Margie Fansler (2), Ayala Fansler (3 months) and Adrikh Meyers (2); a step grandson Carson Ickes (7). Four sisters and two brothers including Sheila Suggs and Wilburt “Tony” Wright. He is preceded in death in addition to his father by his brother Mark Wright.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm Thursday April 14th with funeral services to follow at 1:00pm at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. Burial with Military Honors will conclude in the Zanesville Memorial Park Zanesville OH.
