Jordan Allen Carper

Jordan Allen Carper, 24 of Zanesville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on October 20, 2022, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born on August 30, 1998, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of Roger Carper Jr. and Margaret McGilton. Jordan attended Zanesville City Schools and Fox Fire. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved riding his dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, and motorcycles. In his spare time, he enjoyed gaming and spending time with his family. Above all, Jordan loved his girlfriend, Harmony, and being a father to his two children, Ja’kye and Kaylie.

He is survived by his father, Roger (Terina) Carper Jr.; mother, Margaret McGilton and Scott Hopper; girlfriend, Harmony McGlown; son, Ja’kye Carper; daughter, Kaylie Pannell; brothers, Roger Carper III, Trenton McGilton; sisters, Abey Carper, Dyshouna Largent, Natalie Hopper; step-brother, Coulter Wilson; step-sister, Alexandra Wilson; grandparents, Chris and Roger Carper Sr., Rita McGilton, Jeff McGilton; Aunts, Clarissa (Alex) Fields, Amanda (Jason) Hosom, Michelle Willett; uncles, Jesse McGilton, Jeremy (Patti) Willett, Jeremy McGilton, Jeff (Belinda) McGilton, Joe Cunningham, Shawn Kelly, Shane Hopper; cousins, Brandon (Brittany) Paul, Kali McGilton, Hailey McGilton, Malik Bocook, Shantel Bocook, Deandre Fields, Kiara Fields, Maleah Fields, Tony Newton,  Devon Hunter; best friend, Rico; special dog, Diamond; and many friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Charles Curtis; and uncle, Shaun Hopper.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2022, from 2:00 PM -4:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2022, at 4:00 PM with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. A dignified cremation will take place following services. Jordan will be laid to rest at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio.
