James B. Staker, 79 of Duncan Falls passed away unexpectedly at his family farm on March 7, 2022.
Jim was born on August 21, 1942 in Zanesville. He is the son of the late Robert F. and M. Virginia (Fulmer) Staker. Jim was a lifelong area farmer, a veteran tractor puller, and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville.
Jim is survived by his wife Teresa Staker, whom he married 2014; his two children, James (Heidi) Staker Jr., and Trina Dunkle; his step-children, Terina (Roger) Carper, Mike (Danette) Trimble and Justin (Cindy) Rodgers; his grandchildren, Makayla, Marissa, Makenna, Arlena; his step-grandchildren, Coulter, Alexandria, Wesley, and Jessica; and his brother, John Staker.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his second wife, Darla Staker, who passed away December 1, 2012; his brother, Robert “Gene” Staker.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, 935 Main Street, Zanesville.
Visitations will be 4 to 8 pm Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, 935 Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as Celebrant. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
