Frank H. Fluharty, 74,of Zanesville passed away at his residence on Monday September 5, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born in Zanesville on March 27, 1937 to the late Warren and Mary Beulah Fisher. Frank was a graduate of Philo High School and was a retired Machinist and Tool and Die maker at Walker-Tennaco. He was a member of Zanesville Eagles #302, Am Vets, and a life member of American Legion Post 29. Frank proudly served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Frank loved fishing, going to Florida in the winter, and especially loved his dogs Sassy, Sugar, and Silver.
Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years whom he married on August 26, 1961 Carolyn Paynter Fluharty of the home, three sons Craig R. (Angie) Fluharty of Zanesville, Warren Douglas Fluharty of Zanesville, and Frank Chris (Rhonda) Fluharty of Fairbanks, Alaska, two sister-in-laws: Eloise Fluharty of Zanesville and Kelly (Don) Riley of Zanesville. Nine grandchildren: Kattie, Nikki, Cody, Courtney, Logan, Chase, Rodney, Bo, and C.J. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Rea F. Davis, two brothers John Raymond Fluharty and Warren Frederick Fluharty, His Father and Mother-in-law Ray and Juanita Paynter, Sister â€“in-law Sue Ann (Frank) Kennedy, and a brother-in-law William Raymond â€œBillâ€ Paynter.
