Frances Irene Manning (November 27, 1924 – December 4, 2010)

Frances Irene Manning 86 of Zanesville passed away on Saturday December 4, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Sonora on November 27, 1924 to the late Glenn and Blanche Walters Reed. She attended the Grace Life Fellowship and was formerly employed at My Place Imports. She was a funny, kind, giving person who was truly the heart of the family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who never really met a stranger. This poem says it best: “A beautiful life that came to an end. She died as she lived everyone’s friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept of one that we loved and will never forget.”
She is survived by a son William Thomas (Dottie) Manning of Zanesville, two daughters Leoma Jean Quinn and Sandra Irene (Larry) Hines both of Zanesville. A brother Richard Reed of Sonora, her twin sister Fern Wisecarver and sister Patty Geyer both of Sonora. 9 grandchildren,Bill (Roberta) Quinn, Bob Quinn, Brenda Taylor, Wendy Quinn, Tammy (Norm) Hasselberger, Terry (Jill) Hines, Tom (Charlene) Manning, Traci Havens, and Travis Manning 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Manning Jr., a daughter Naomi Jane Manning, 3 brothers Walter, Charles and Edward Reed and 2 sisters Goldie Fitzgerald and Doris Corwin.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 7, 2010 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday December 8, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Snouffer Chapel with her grandson Pastor Bill Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Cemetery in Sonora.
