ZANESVILLE
Emma Mary Graves, 94, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Genesis Hospital. She was born February 4, 1928, in San Toy, Ohio to the late Joseph and Annie Vozar Matis. She was employed at Essex Wire. Emma loved to do daily word puzzles, playing games, bingo and baking.
She is survived by her children: Richard (Karen) Graves, Daniel Graves, Larry Graves, Rozanne Collins and Linda (Wayne) Knowlden; three sisters: Vernie Webb, Ann Wilson and Charlotte Simpson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Graves, who passed away July 27, 2010; a daughter Deborah Ankrum; a brother Charles Matis; and five sisters: Elizabeth Matis, Eva Matis, Teresa Tracey, Josephine Foster and Julia Roberts.
Visitation will be from 11AM to 1PM Tuesday, January 31, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will begin at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery.
