Elizabeth Ann Schneider, 70, of Dresden, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1941, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Fred and Nellie Moore. She graduated from Zanesville High School. She had worked as an assistant dietician before working in the housekeeping department for 16 Â½ years for Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of the National Humane Society and a former member of the Arbor Society. She loved her family and was a firm believer in Jesus Christ.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, James M. Schneider, whom she married September 4, 1960, of the home; three daughters, Lisa (Gail) Shaw of Zanesville, Theresa (Edgar) Bonifield of Dresden and Misty Schneider of Zanesville; a grandson, William Shaw of Zanesville; a brother, Russell Eugene Moore of Zanesville; a half sister, Glenna (Jeff) Coffey of Zanesville; five brothers-in-law, Martin (Betty) Schneider of Zanesville, Ernie (Judy) Schneider of Columbus, Fred (Cheryl) Schneider of Dresden, Mike (Kerri) Schneider of Philo and Danny (Cindy) Schneider of Dresden; a sister-in-law, Mary Walker of Zanesville; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a family friend, Edward Kiggans of Akron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers,Retired Sgt. Jim Moore and Freddie Moore; a sister, Vera Horton; and two sisters-in-law, Pam and Susan Schneider.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the funeral home with Mr. Danny Harp officiating. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at the Schneider Family Cemetery in Dresden.
It was Elizabethâ€™s wishes to not have flowers at her funeral, therefore, memorial contributions may be made to the National Humane Society.
