Edna Loujuana “Lou” Worstall (September 20, 1927 – July 15, 2011)

Edna Loujuana “Lou” Worstall age 83 of Zanesville, died Friday July 15, 2011 at Bethesda Hospital.
She was born September 20, 1927 in McLean, TX and was the daughter of the late Earnest Jesse and Gunith Lelia Back Roberts.

Lou formerly worked as a machine operator at the American Match Co. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church; a past president of the Child Conservation League; a 50 year member and past Worthy High Priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; a 50 year member and past Matron of Muskingum Chapter 485 Eastern Star; past Royal Matron of Amaranth; Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Thea Court No.5; member of the Daughters of Nile and Caldron. Lou loved Christmas and all her decorations. Christmas was her season all year long. Her family was very important to her.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Lynn (Fred) McNutt of Zanesville; great grandchildren: Amy Nicole, Brandon Douglas, Dalton Roy and Abby Sharon McNutt; brother-in-law, Robert (Margie) Worstall; nephews: J. Wayne Roberts and Robert S. Worstall; nieces: Rocio Roberts, Carol Roberts and Terri Newman; close friends: Geneva Hicks and Pat Snack.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy B. Worstall who she married March 23, 1946 and died March 27, 2009; daughter, Sharon Ann Worstall Souder who died November 18, 2004; brother, Jesse W. Roberts and a sister, Cora Lavelle Roberts.

In honor and celebration of Lou’s life, the family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday July 20, 2011 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Eastern Star services and White Shrine of Jerusalem services will follow at 7 p.m.

A private family committal service will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
