Destiny Star Hankinson

Destiny Star Hankinson, 20, of Somerset, passed away Monday, January 4, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with depression. She was born May 22, 2001, in Zanesville, the daughter of John Hankinson and Andrea (Robert) McNeish.

 

Destiny was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Destiny grew up in Somerset, where she attended Sheridan High School and then Mid-East Career center, where she graduated with her cosmetology license. She was a lover of the outdoors, art, and enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and dogs.

 

Destiny is survived by parents: John Hankinson and Andrea McNeish and Robert McNeish; grandparents: Robert Hankinson, Rick Williams, Pat McNeish and Jean McNeish; siblings: Alexis (Jordan) Theisen, Taylor McNeish, Danielle (Travis) Huff, Megan (Michael) Barclay, and Chase McNeish; nieces: Alana Theisen, Aria Theisen, Ava Huff, Mila Barclay, and Miley Barclay; aunts and uncles: Angela (Troy) Schooley, Tammy Bates, Deanna Anderson, Jeremy Hankinson, Stephanie Williams, Lisa (George) Wilson, Lori (Chris) Rowlands and Kelly Williams, and special friends including: Dara Durst, Kieron Santana, Chase Taylor, and Jordan Lang.

 

Destiny was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Beverly Hankinson and Kay Williams; uncle and best friend: Andrew Williams; uncle: Bruce Bates, and cousin: Anastasia Zink.

 

Destiny’s stubborn, yet loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew, and loved her. She cared about people in the purest way.
