Debbie Pettit, 54, of Zanesville, passed away on November 21, 2020 while surrounded by her family. Debbie was born in Zanesville on January 8, 1966 to Anna Ruth and Samuel Guy Bailey. She met Roger on a blind date, and they married in 1992.
She was the beloved wife of Roger, loving and proud mother of Cody, and a friend to many. She is also survived by her cherished sisters: Judy Miller (Jeff) and Sue Scoles (Kenny), as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her three brothers Samuel, Danny, and Jeffrey.
She was a member of the Muskingum County Republican Club, Muskingum County Women’s Republican Club and was known as a super volunteer for the Ohio Republican Party. Debbie registered hundreds of voters and knocked on thousands and thousands of doors. She attended church at New Hope Full Gospel Church in Zanesville. A descendant of a Revolutionary War soldier, she loved history and studying ancestry. Debbie loved the Lord, and her love was evident to all who met her.
Friends may call 3-8 on Tuesday November 24, 2020 and one hour prior to services at 11am on Wednesday November 25, 2020 at the New Hope Full Gospel Church, 3550 East Pike, Zanesville, OH with Pastor Joe Divincenzo officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
