David “Wally” R. Wallace

David “Wally” R. Wallace, 70 of Zanesville, died 5:06 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Genesis Hospital following a sudden illness.  He was born Wednesday, July 25, 1951, in Zanesville, the son of Wayne & Esther Wallace.

 

Wally served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Ohio CAT Equipment in Zanesville, following many years of service as a large equipment mechanic. He, along with his wife, were owners of the Little Tijuana Tavern in Zanesville. Wally had a great personality and never met a stranger.

 

Wally is survived by one son: Nathan (Jennifer) Wallace and one grandson: Quintin Wallace all of TN; one nephew: Josh (Susan) Newton of Zanesville and eight great nieces and nephews: Joshua Newton, Johnna Newton, Jacob Newton, Tricia Newton, Shyanne Newton, Michael Bailey, Ariana Baily, and Gia Bailey his step-children: Trisha (Lori Spellman) Moody and Raymond Moody and Jason Scott; one step-grandson: Presley Moody; one brother: Dennis Wallace; one sister: Pam Tracy; nieces and nephews: Mike Beish, Amber Phillips,   Stacey (Patrick) Mihalko , Rachel Travis; great nieces and nephews: Jane’e, Garrett, Lauren, Darel, Brady, Angelica, Page and Michael and one sister-in-law: Patty Wallace.

 

In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his wife: Margery F. LeRoy-Wallace who died January 9, 2014 one brother: John Wallace

 

Friends may call Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, April 25, 2022, with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Post, 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
