Daniel Ray Kelly (January 28, 1942 – October 3, 2010)

Daniel Ray Kelly, 68, of Duncan Falls, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville.

Daniel was born in Zanesville on January 28, 1942 to the late Harry and Evelyn Kelly of Blue Rock. He retired from Blue Rock State Park in 1999 after 28 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, archery and shooting, and loved riding his 4-wheeler. He was a member of the Zanesville Rifle Club, Ohio Rifle & Pistol Association, and the National Rifle Association. A member of Faith United Methodist Church, he was a member and treasurer of the Anchor Lodge #238 – F. & A.M. and a member and Past Patron of Olive Branch Chapter #251 Order of the Eastern Star, both of Duncan Falls. He was a member of Public Employee Retirees, Inc.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marsha (Ragor) Kelly; two daughters Nannette (Michael) Lashley of Delaware, OH, Jeanette (Daniel) Kebede of Des Moines, WA; a son, Russell Kelly (Kimberly Gill) of Morrison, CO; one brother, Ronald (Debra) Kelly of Blue Rock; four sisters, Ruth Ann (Alvin) Taylor of Pomeroy, Mary Frances (Larry) Tysinger of Gaysport, Barbara (Sam) Swartz of Blue Rock, Patricia (David) Woodward of Duncan Falls; a father-in-law, Russell Ragor of Nashport; four grandchildren, Katherine and Shane Lashley, Jesse and Sabina Daniel; and many nieces and nephews.

Anchor Lodge #283 F. & A.M. will hold Masonic services at 8:15 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2010 with Olive Branch Chapter #251 Order of the Eastern Star services following.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm Tuesday October 5th 2010 at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, October 6th, at the Faith United Methodist Church, 1616 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, with Pastor Nancy Amos officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
