DANA D. FINLEY, 79, of Duncan Falls, passed away May 5th 2011 at 3:55 pm at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.
Dana was born August 24, 1931 in McConnelsville, the son of the late Delmar and Lucille (Kendle) Finley. He retired in 1996 from MIBA in McConnelsville.
He loved God, his family and his country, he was an avid sports fan and he loved his Buckeyes and he was a collector of pens and pencils. He loved and cherished spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He was a 1949 graduate of M&M High School, a member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church and he proudly served his country in the US Air Force serving from 1951 â€“ 1955.
Dana is survived by his loving wife Janet M. (Hartman) Finley whom he married June 6, 1952; his daughters Teresa (Larry) Tyo of Zanesville and Carlene Cox of Duncan Falls; his brother Galen Finley of McConnelsville; his granddaughters Danielle Sides (Eric Woodward) of Duncan Falls and DeAnn (Dustin) Rock of Philo; his very cherished great grandchildren Laine and Logan McDonald and Ryder and Rayna Rock; his sister in laws â€“ Gloria (Charles) Burckholter of Philo; Yvonne Finley of McConnelsville and Jean Hartman of FL; brother in law Gary (Debi) Hartman of Blue Rock; many nieces, nephews and a special friend Tony Simmons.
In addition to his parents, Dana is preceded in death by his In-laws Carlos and Helen Hartman; Brothers John K Finley and Carlos Finley; brother in law Vernon Lee Hartman and a sister in law Lorena Bagley.

A memorial service will be held 11am Monday, May 9th at the Brighton Presbyterian Church, Zanesville with Rev. Sue Ellen Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by George Selsam VFW Post #1058.
