Carolyn Anne Coffey, age 92, of Zanesville, passed away, 2:01 PM, Friday, September 16, 2022, at Clay Gardens Place in Zanesville surrounded, by her loving family.
She was born Saturday, July 26, 1930, in Marietta, a daughter of Alfred Walter and Nellie (Davis) Walter. Carolyn was married on February 5, 1953, to Rolland Coffey who preceded her in death on January 18, 2015.
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She retired after 26 years from Muskingum Area Technical College (Now Zane State). After retirement she worked part-time for Jobs for Ohio Graduates Program for 14 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post #29 Axillary and Volunteered at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in the Transport Department. She loved her flowers, gardening and was an avid Ohio State Men’s Basketball fan. Carolyn’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren; never missing any of their activities.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Nancy Beckert of Zanesville and Julie (Jerry) Siddle of Nashport; two sons, Michael (Pam) Coffey of Zanesville and Thomas (Tracie) Coffey of Blue Rock; five grandchildren; Heather (Michael) Thacker, Brent (Megan) Coffey, Brianna (Kyle) Hood, Joe (Amanda) Siddle, and Jami (Chris) McIntyre; seven great grandchildren, Aaron & Natalie Thacker, Emerson & Grayson Coffey, Channing & Brenae Beckert and Harper & Ellie Siddle, Archer McIntyre and one on the way.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Gatewood; two brothers, James Walter and Richard Walter; one grandson, Doug Beckert and one granddaughter, Crystal Coffey.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, with a prayer vigil at 6:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Martin Ralko as Celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt Olive Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
