Agnes Louise Willey, 79 of Zanesville, died 2:20 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born Tuesday, January 27, 1931 in Glenford, the daughter of Harold Leonard Scott and Myrtle A.(Montgomery) Scott. She married Ralph C. Willey on Thursday, February 25, 1966 and was a member of Norval Park Church of Christ . Agnes retired from Gould National Battery following 26 years service. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed cooking and gardening..
Agnes is survived by her husband of 44 years: Ralph C. Willey; two daughters: Mary L. Smith and Carolyn Sue (Ray) Wickham both of Zanesville; one step-daughter: Linda Kay (Patrick) Mathes of Zanesville; four sons: Harold “Jim” (Deborah K.) Burtnett of Waxhaw, NC; Larry Lee (Lynn) Burtnett of Zanesville; Gene R. “Pete” (Vickie) Burtnett of Zanesville and K. Michael (Deborah) Burtnett of Zanesville; two step-sons: Timothy L. (Margaret) Willey and Steven M. Willey both of Frazeysburg; one daughter-in-law: Nancy Burtnett of TN; 27 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one sister: Velva Collins of Zanesville and two brothers: Raymond Scott and Leo Scott of Zanesville.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Dwaine A. Burtnett and three brothers: Abraham Scott, Harold E. Scott, Leonard Scott
Friends may call Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue where Funeral Services will take place 11:00 AM, Monday with Pastor Dallas Lockhart officiating.
