George is the News Director of the WHIZ Media Group. He also co-anchors the 6:00PM news on WHIZ-TV and anchors daily news updates on AM1240 and Z92 radio stations.
George has been working at the station since 1981 and started as a general assignment reporter. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s degree in communications. When not at work you can find George playing golf during the mornings on weekends and watching the Reds and Bengals win championships.

After leaving for six years to start a family, Carolyn Fleegle returned to WHIZ-TV in 2006. She is currently anchor and producer of Live at Noon and the 6 PM news.
Carolyn grew up in Kettering, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio where she obtained a degree in Communications.
While not at work, Carolyn enjoys reading, going on walks and spending time with her two sons.
Nichole is WHIZ’s Reporter/Anchor. She joined the WHIZ family while attending high school at Bishop Rosecrans, before taking a full-time position in 2005. Nichole is no stranger to the area. She grew up in Corning, Ohio and and graduated from Waynesburg College, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications emphasizing in Sports Broadcasting/Sports Information and Journalism.When not at work Nichole enjoys watching St. Louis Blues hockey, enjoying time with family, spending time outdoors and reading.If Nichole wasn't in broadcasting she'd probably have become a teacher.Nichole is married to a fellow sports fan Brandon. They have two sons Cameron and Xavier.
Matt was born in March of 1995 in Falmouth, Massachusetts. He graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Communication in May of 2018. While attending CCU, Matt interned with the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina NBC affiliate WMBF News. He gathered great experience from their news crew and is excited to be using it for WHIZ. It was difficult for Matt to move away from Massachusetts, but he knows he has a great opportunity at WHIZ to start his career. During his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, watching Boston sports, fishing, golfing and listening to country music. Matt is really excited to be starting his career in Zanesville, Ohio and looks forward to getting out in the community and getting to meet and talk with new people.
Nicolette Pizzuto is originally from the Youngstown area and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Youngstown State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. While studying there, she worked for various reporter internships covering in-depth news topics. She was also a member Delta Zeta, the Dance Ensemble and various honor societies.
Nicolette previously worked for WKBN and WYTV as a production assistant in Youngstown.
When she is not out reporting, she can be found reading a book, cooking, hiking, working out at the gym or hanging out with her cat Maverick.
She loves meeting new people and learning something new every day. She looks forward to telling the stories of the Zanesville area.

Zanesville knew Jarrod before Jarrod knew Zanesville. He was born here & grew up just outside New Lexington.
Jarrod comes to WHIZ after serving as the Statehouse correspondent for 700 WLW in Cincinnati, where he reported on statewide politics from Broad & High for four years, including the 2016 election. Jarrod has reported from the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives & Ohio Senate during the administration of Gov. John Kasich, the inauguration of Gov. Mike DeWine, the Ohio Democratic & Republican Parties and numerous state agencies & associations. He's an active member of the Ohio Legislative Correspondents' Association & and Ohio Radio & Television Correspondents' Association. He can sometimes be found in the Statehouse Radio & TV Newsroom keeping up with politics & getting video to put on TV here in Zanesville.
Jarrod has been in broadcast journalism for about twenty-five years, reporting for stations in Ohio and, during eight years in Texas, in Houston, Dallas & Austin where he won an Associated Press award for his work on the Bastrop Complex Wildfire while at KLBJ.
He has a degree in Broadcast Engineering & Production from Hocking College, and in Applied Communication from Ohio University.
Jarrod calls Perry County home, where he enjoys working with his dad's horse, fixing up the family farm & working with digital printing as a hobby.
He returns to WHIZ as a TV, radio & web journalist having worked for George Hiotis & the Littick family in 2000 & 2001.
