Local News Stories

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Big Brothers Big Sisters annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake is back.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is one of Big Brothers Big Sisters signature fundraisers. This fundraiser is a fun way to raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. They’re looking for teams of four to six bowlers, and they do suggest that the bowling teams raise funds, and they encourage a goal of $500 per team.

“This is a source of revenue of programs that we do in the community. Our programs are all youth mentoring programs. We do a community base program as well as a Lunch Buddies program. This helps support the work so that we can match youth here in our communities that we serve with a volunteer mentor.” Katie Mainini, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters stated.

The theme this year is Circus themed. So, get ready for the big show and save the date, the Bowl for Kids Sake will be April 19th through the 22nd at Sunrise Bowling Center in Zanesville. Be prepared for a lot bowling, food, and circus fun.

“We bring all of our supporters together. And this community is so giving and so supportive and it’s just nice to see all the faces out in the community that come out to support this event.” Mainini said.
