Ohio University Zanesville: FAFSA Completion and Application Night

Local News

ZANESVILLE, OH- Going to college is a huge step in adulthood and sometimes it can be stressful and daunting, especially when it comes to finances and papers to sign.

That’s why Ohio University Zanesville wants to relieve some of that stress from college students by having an Application and FAFSA Completion Night.

Manager of Campus Communications and External Relations Heather Sands Davis discussed about how this event is not just for OUZ students but any student who is interested in getting help submitting a FAFSA.

“It’s very simple, so what we would like families to do is to just join us here on campus at 4:00 pm and what we can do is help them with the process. It’s a very simple process, being able to have that extra hands but also, we can give them a fee waiver to apply here, but also go on ahead and do that free application for Federal Student Aid. Any college that they’re planning to go to whether if it’s Ohio University or any campus or any college just in general, we are here to help them submit that application and make it simpler for them.”

Davis also said that college students who come to this event will also have the opportunity to receive additional financial help.

“This gives them additional opportunities for scholarships, financial aid throughout the community, also to be able to get federal aid that can support them and their college going process.”

The Application and FAFSA Completion Night will take place tomorrow from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and again on Thursday, January 12th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. If you have any questions about submitting an application you can call Ohio University Zanesville at (740)-588-1559 or email them at katie.wilson@ohio.edu.
