ZANESVILLE, OH- It’s always hard to now how to begin a business when you’re first starting out.
That’s why the John Mcintire Library and Ohio University are hosting a series of classes called Start Your Business. The classes teach about different business tools to help your business grow. In turn the hope is to make a stronger economy for Zanesville. Adult Services Manager for the Muskingum County Library System Suzanne Helms discussed about what kind of business tools people can learn through these classes.
“We cover a series of things, they range really from startup business to even selling your business. This particular class tomorrow on the fifteenth is going to be about QuickBooks, so it’s an online accounting program to help people take care of their own business.”
Helms also said that new business owners who take these classes will have a place to start when it comes to running a company.
“I think a lot of this is important because people have an idea and it gets stuck there a lot. So, this is a way people can learn to chase that dream and go after what they want to have a fulfilling life here in Muskingum County.”
The classes are free and will take place in meeting room B on November 15th from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The speaker for the first class is Sydney Vorhees, a Certified Business Advisor.
