ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The annual Thanksgiving Day ‘Race For Grace’ 5K run will return to downtown Zanesville after being scuttled due to Covid-19. This year’s event has added Rotary as a sponsor and Race for Grace Chairperson Matt Schreiber explained the significance the event will bring to the community.
“This year the Rotary has decided to partner with Eastside and Grace Church to put on the Race for Grace to try to help make it bigger and better. We will benefit also for our Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds as well as continue to benefit Eastside’s food pantry,” Schreiber said.
The Rotary’s Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds program supplies school age kids in need with food and books during extended breaks from school.
“This event will be taking place on Thanksgiving morning, nine o’clock at Grace Church, just downtown Zanesville,” Schreiber said. “So it’s a good opportunity for those individuals who are cooking in the kitchen to get the rest of the family out of the kitchen, out of their hair so they can come down and enjoy a nice event to support the community and have a good time.”
Entry fee is $30 for race participants and they can register at muskingummultisports.com. To help sponsor the event you can email Schreiber at mschreiber@forkercompany.com or by calling (740) 252-1925.
