MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Oh – Congressman Tim Ryan made a visit to the South East Area Transit or SEAT.
He is the Congressman (D) for District 13 and a candidate for the United States Senate.
In the visit, he was given a tour of the busing facilities and spoke to the workers about their daily schedules as well as any challenges they may face,
Congressman Ryan says that this event was vital to learning how to strengthen smaller, rural communities like Zanesville.

“Well making sure that people in smaller towns and rural areas have access to the kind of transportation that they need to get to the doctors office, to get to and from work and to be able to get back on their feet. This is a critical job here that these men and women are performing,” he said.
He has served as a Congressman since 2003, and been reelected nine times. Congressman Ryan is Youngstown native and says that it is important to rebuild America’s middle class.
“We’ll I’m from a working class family and a working class community and I think the last thing the United States Senate needs is another millionaire who’s funded by a billionaire. We want somebody who gets small dollar contributions and represents working class people. I have a long record of fighting people; I’ve fought democrats, I fight republicans. I fight for Ohio and Ohioans,” he told us.
He will be running against J.D. Vance in November for U.S. Senator.
