ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Artist Colony of Zanesville or ArtCOZ is hosting this year’s Y-Bridge Arts Festival this Friday and Saturday.

The 10 year old festival will feature all types of art and artists and performances from many great musicians including an open mic with Steve Spires. President of ArtCOZ, Kristen Leigh Brown said that there will be something there for everybody.

“We’re really trying to open the doors to all different kinds of mediums because there’s so many different types of art, it’s not just painting. There’s so many different –dance, theater, music, there’s so many different things. And we’re also going to be having the Muskingum Valley Art Society set up for Earth to Art, so they’re something there for everybody.”

There will be food trucks, live music from great local artists, and many great crafting activities for kids and adults. Brown says that she hopes this event reminds the community of the wonderful art in Zanesville.

“We have so many artists here and its a great time to just go down and see them all in one place and you have two days to be able to go down and do it and you can also come down and make art yourself and sing and dance. Movement on Main is also going to be setting up with us providing dance and movement, so its going to be a really great time and I think we all need something right now to feel good about.”

The day will begin at 2pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday at Zane Landing Park, with both days going until dark.
