MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Muskingum County Fairgrounds hosted its first ever 50+ Expo.
The event was put in place to give folks over 50 important resources that the community provides.
Gail Deitrick, the Fair Board Vice President says that this event puts vital resources in one easy spot.
“Its important for people to know what resources are available, a lot of the resources are free and you know a lot of times we don’t know what’s available so this was a great way to get a lot of resources in one spot.”
There was free food for the first 200 participants provided by the Senior Task Force.
Jonna Sharp, the Fair Board Director says that this event will be continued in future years.
“We were thinking we would be lucky to have 20 vendors, we doubled that we had 41 vendors. The turnout has been amazing, we’re really excited we had a lot of good reviews from the participants. They’re having fun. They said they’d want to come back next year. So this will definitely be an annual thing.”
The event also had door prizes and live music as well.
There were 11 sponsors for the event.
