Miss Nana, the Adoption Shelter Society’s Pet of the Week

Local News

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – This week’s adoption shelter society pet of the week is Miss Nana.

She is a German shelter mix and we surrendered to the shelter in February.

She loves treats and has a lot of energy, making her perfect for a family with children.

Rebecca Hunt, The Animal Care Manager for the Adoption Shelter says that Nana is very smart.

“She’s a very very intelligent dog but she has a lot of energy. She’s only 3 so still has a lot of puppy left in her. But very sweet dog. Thank you, as you can tell.”

She is dog selective, meaning that she does well around some dogs, but she wouldn’t do well with cats.

As the weather warms up, the shelters encourage pet owners to keep their animals cool and hydrated.

“Make sure if your dogs are outside they have shade, they have plenty of water. You know if you cant touch it for 5 seconds, your pet cant touch it. So just make sure that were taking care of those dogs. We’re not leaving dogs in hot cars right now. AC needs to be on if your dogs out in the vehicle.”

Nana also enjoys water, and enjoys swimming pools and being on boats.

To adopt her, you can visit the adoption shelter society’s website for an application.
