Suspects sought in attempted bank robbery

ZANESVILLE , Ohio–The Zanesville Police Department is investigating an attempted bank robbery at North Valley Bank on Maple Avenue.

Lt. Shilling said around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, two male suspects wearing masks, hoodies, and gloves entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding a large sum of cash.

Authorities said the teller was able to stall the suspects and that the suspects became impatient and fled the bank without any money.

Lt. Shilling said the two suspects remain at large.

At this time, ZPD was not able to provide a description or photos of the suspects.
