New Leader of Big Brother Big Sisters of Licking and Perry Counties

Peter R. Tripp has been selected as the new Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Licking & Perry Counties.  Peter has dedicated his career to serving the most vulnerable children in a number of communities, and has brought innovative models and strategic growth to the organizations in which he has served.  Peter will be replacing the current Executive Director, Jennifer Utrevis, who will be retiring at the end of the year.  Jennifer has served as the Executive Director of BBBS of Licking & Perry Counties for 17 years.

“I have great confidence in Peter and his abilities to continue our progress in Licking and Perry Counties,” said Jennifer.  “He has over 35 years of experience working for non-profit organizations that serve the youth of the community, and is passionate about helping those most in need.”

During his time as Executive Director at BBBS in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Peter developed strategic partnerships with other non-profits and the faith communities that resulted in a 128 percent increase in children served. 

“Our agency is wonderfully positioned to grow and serve more children throughout Licking and Perry Counties,” said Brad Feightner, Jr., Board President of BBBS of Licking & Perry Counties.  “Peter has demonstrated his leadership as Director of multiple Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies, and his experience will help us expand upon the strong foundation that Jennifer and her staff have built.  We are thrilled to have an individual with his background as our next Executive Director and are looking forward to acclimating him into our community.”

Peter is a diversity and inclusion champion who has a proven record of developing strategic partnerships in the community to reach shared goals.  He brings to the position demonstrated success at managing systems, driving innovation, and developing relationships with individuals, businesses, and foundations to work together in aligning programmatic initiatives within the community.

Nichole is WHIZ’s News Director/Anchor. She joined the WHIZ family while attending high school at Bishop Rosecrans, before taking a full-time position in 2005. Nichole is no stranger to the area. She grew up in Corning, Ohio and and graduated from Waynesburg College, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications emphasizing in Sports Broadcasting/Sports Information and Journalism.When not at work Nichole enjoys watching St. Louis Blues hockey, enjoying time with family, spending time outdoors and reading.If Nichole wasn't in broadcasting she'd probably have become a teacher.Nichole is married to a fellow sports fan Brandon. They have two sons Cameron and Xavier.
