NEW LEXINGTON, OH- It was perfect weather for a nice baseball game and that’s what the New Lexington Panther and West Muskingum Tornadoes gave in today’s matchup.
In the first Tatum Toth was there to back up his teammate and he scoped up a grounder to get the first out of the game.
After a quick three outs New Lexington was trying to get some offense and Toth hit a nice shot in the gap of the outfield to advance the base runner to third to get into scoring position. Next pitch Hunter Kellogg hits a skipper past the pitcher and it got right past the infield and it brought in the 2 base runners home Panthers up 2-0.
After the Panthers went up 3-0 early the Tornadoes made a comeback in the later innings but it was the Panthers defeating West Muskingum in a close one 3-2.
