ZANESVILLE, Ohio- AJ’s Fuel, Food Mart and Drive Thru celebrated their new location with a ribbon cutting today.
The ribbon cutting was hosted by the Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce that included many people from the community who attended.
The owner, AJ Patel, said he started working in this type of business 23 years ago just working in convenient stores and says it’s a dream come true to have yet another business location.
“Most of my help is my family plus also we have some of our senior employees here already like in this location. We kept it the same, and we’re still growing and the way the convenience store industry is going, I have to have something different than just beer, cigarettes and pops. So we’re trying to add food service and like fuel contract is our main project also,” Patel stated.
Along with the convenience store items, AJ’s Fuel, Food Mart and Drive Thru provides gas, Chester’s Chicken, check cash, ATM service and more.
Patel said with every gas purchase, five cents of that will go towards local nonprofits, local schools, community foundations and more.
Patel continued to express that “Getting into this business, I want to bring my 23 years of experience into this location and we’d like to go forward with more locations,”
Patel said his first business was the Zanesville Food Mart. Other businesses of Patel’s are located in Roseville, Dresden, Putnam and Cambridge.
However, the new location for AJ’s Fuel, Food Mart and Drive Thru is now open and located at 1648 Linden Avenue.
