Bee Clean Car Wash Presents Check to the Working Wonder Women in Response to Previous 10 Day Free Car Wash

Local News

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The new Bee Clean Car Wash in South Zanesville presented a check to the Working Wonder Women of Zanesville today.

The check totaled over $14,000, which was raised from the free 10 day car wash fundraiser that took place last month and then went towards the Working Wonder Women.

“We’re really happy to be in Zanesville and every time we open a new car wash we are free for 10 days and during those 10 days we put our hand out to the community to raise some money for some very wonderful people sitting next to us, wonderful women who work and are very successful. Christy and her group did a wonderful job,” John Roush, CEO of Express Concepts stated.

The Working Wonder Women of Zanesville is a group of local women leaders that comprises six non profit organizations.

Director of Community and Engagement for Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio and of the leader of Working Wonder Women, Melissa Best, shared how it feels to be receiving the check donation.

“The Working Wonder Women had a lot of fun working with Bee Clean Car Wash folks. We love to serve the community, that’s really what we all do in our everyday lives,” Best said. “$14,000 is a lot of money really to anybody, but it was a lot of money to six fabulous charities that rely heavily on community support  for further operations so it was fabulous and they were generous and we are appreciative.”

Best would like for the community to stay on lookout for their seafood social fundraiser in August and also their pancake day later in November.

As for Bee Clean, Roush said they will be raising money throughout the year like their air freshener campaign, which will also be donated to a selected community charity.
