ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Library System will close the New Concord branch library Wednesday and Thursday for upgrades.
MCLS Marketing and Community Relations Director Sean Fennell gave us details of the upgrades and what visitors might expect.
“We are going to be reconfiguring some of the public-use computers as well as the main desk and of course there is a lot of infrastructure that is tied into the main desk as well as the public-use computers,” Fennell said. “So we’re going to have to shut down the branch for just two days.”
Fennell noted the library is continually listening to the public to find better ways for their spaces to function and that the needs of the public are constantly changing.
“You will be able to see a little bit more easy accessibility to the book return and some restructuring of the furniture that is going to make more sense for our patrons,” Fennell said.
Closure for the upgrades will be this Wednesday and Thursday as the library intends to reopen Friday. All other MCLS locations will remain open and unaffected during the process.
