Bishops Defeat Blue Devils in Battle of Zanesville

Local Sports Sports

ZANESVILLE, OH- The Zanesville Blue Devils made the short trip down the road to Bishop Rosecrans to take on the Bishops in girls basketball.

The home team had a good start early on as they were capitalizing on second-chance opportunities while Zanesville took advantage of transition baskets. The Bishops hopped out to an early lead thanks to Makaela McLaughlin and Jenna Carlisle scoring efficiently on offense.

Zanesville looked to Kandrea Sowers and Jersey Draughn to shoulder the scoring load for the Blue Devils. Bishop Rosecrans held the lead at halftime and would not let it go as the Bishops won 52-40.
