ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you would like an enthusiastic four-legged friend to keep you company, the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center may have the perfect companion for you.

Jane is a 2-year-old, cattle-dog-mix that is loving, energetic and loves to play with toys.

“Today we have Jane. She is a cattle-dog-mix that came to us in September as a stray,” Muskingum County K-9 Volunteer Doug McQuaid said. “Seems to be very friendly, always keeps a clean kennel, loves to ride in a car and we found out she absolutely loves the snow.”

McQuaid mentioned, even though pets may enjoy playing in the snow, there are certain precautions owners should take with their pets.

“During this weather especially with all the salt, it is very harmful to the feet,” McQuaid said. “So when you do take your dog out for a walk, if you would please, bring your dog in and wash its feet off and dry it, make sure they’re dry.”

If you are interested in adopting Jane, or need dog food, cat food, or straw you can stop by the K-9 Adoption Center on Newark Road or call 740-453-0273.
