Three Zanesville women are sentenced for the illegal use of SNAP benefits.

Amy Goodwin was sentenced by Judge Kelly Cottrill to 3 years community control to include 30 days incarceration, 20 hours community services and was ordered to pay back over $13,000 in restitution.
Goodwin plead guilty to one count of illegal use of SNAP benefits and telecommunications fraud last month.

Ashley Lombardi was sentenced to 18 months in prison and ordered to pay over $1,500 dollars in restitution with up to 2 years optional post release control.

In Judge Mark Fleegle’s courtroom Brandi Bernard was sentenced to one year community control and 50 hours of public service. She must also pay restitution of over $1,700. She plead guilty last month to one count of illegal use of SNAP benefits.
The three were arrested during what the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office called “Operation Snapped Off” in which 18 people were arrested for the illegal use of SNAP benefits. The prosecutor’s office said the total amount stolen by the group was $315,000.
