Today into Monday, a ridge will strengthen over the central United States allowing for a southwesterly wind flow which will cause more late summer warmth with increased temperatures and dewpoints.
Tuesday into Wednesday, ridging will give way to a trough which will deepen over the central United States. This boosts our rain chances and keeps temperatures on the milder side.
Wednesday, the first drastic cold front of the season will push through the region giving way to our first real fall cooldown.
