MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Zanesville First Friday Art Walk will resume in person on Friday, May 7 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Previous Art Walks were being held virtually. Now, people can walk through downtown Zanesville and find multiple studios and restaurants taking part in the event.

“Actually, my art studio will be open too. This will be the first First Friday in my new art studio and so I’m pretty excited about that… Anybody that comes to my art studio, if you’ve purchased art from another artist during that art walk, I’m going to give you 10 percent off. I really want to help all the artists,” ArtCoZ president Kristen Brown said.

The First Friday Art Walk allows artists to exhibit their work and meet other community members. Kristen Leigh Brown Art Studio can be found at 605 Market Street, Suite 1

“Art for me has always been a way of healing and seeing the good in the world and bringing brightness when there’s a lot of darkness. One of my biggest passions is helping people in creating art,” Brown said.

If you haven’t turned in your ArtCoZ street banner, be sure to do so banners can be displayed.

ArtCoZ reminds those attending to follow the Covid-19 guidelines; proper mask wearing, gatherings in areas should not exceed 10 people and no food or drink, unless at a table.
