Sheridan advances to regional final; Tri-Valley falls to Vinton County – Fink’s Full Court Press for March 2nd, 2021 Part 1

Local Sports Sports Stories

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – One year ago, the Sheridan Lady Generals and Tri-Valley Scotties met in a regional semifinal match at Zanesville High School. It was a legendary game that came down to the final seconds, with Tri-Valley squeaking out the victory en route to a regional title win.

Tuesday night, both teams found themselves back in the regional semifinals, although, this time, on opposite sides of the bracket. Of course, the main topic of conversation heading into the regional semifinals: Would we see a rematch of the Scotties and Generals, this time for the regional championship?

Perhaps. But first, both teams would have to defeat worthy adversaries — Sheridan facing Indian Creek, and Tri-Valley facing Vinton County.
