ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Community Foundation is looking to help students pay for college through its massive array of scholarships.
The foundation believes that scholarships are the most effective way to help pay for college expenses. They have applications suited for every student.
“We have over fifty scholarships that are housed here at the Foundation. We have ones that are for just about everyone, so we have scholarships for athletes, we have scholarships for students who don’t have a perfect GPA, we have scholarships for students who do have really good GPAs, we have scholarships for students who are going to specific colleges, majoring in specific things, so there really is a scholarship for everybody out there,” Educational Services Director Katie McCarty said from her offices.
Scholarships can be applied for through the community foundation’s website. Students looking for assistance for applying can also find that help from the foundation.
“We are available to help via Zoom, we are doing online appointments everyday. So students just need to register for those, they can do that if they go to scholarshipcentral.org and click to schedule an appointment, it’ll take them right through how to schedule an appointment,” McCarty continued.
The current deadline for applications is March 15th at 5 p.m.
