ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Welcome Center held a Christmas in July event today.
The event was attended by smaller merchants from around the area. Organizer Tammy Morehead tells us more about the vendors.
“Well, today we’re doing a Christmas in July event. We have vendors from all over, locally, all the way from Copely actually, that have come down to provide different things. Christmas sales and whatnot to the local community down here. I’m hoping that people can come out and enjoy and see some nice things.”
The event had more than ten vendors in attendance. Morehead says that the event is all for their benefit.
“This, actually, event is, normally we have a nonprofit that we work with, but this one. Originally we had this scheduled in March and we had to reschedule it because of COVID, so this is a little bit smaller than what we normally do so there’s no proceeds going anywhere for this one. It’ for, ;let’s face it, vendors who have been cooped up and not able to make any money. This is their livelihood.”
It was a very Merry Christmas indeed.
